Trade Counter Sales Coordinator
York

Hours of work 7am - 4pm Monday to Friday
Every other Saturday 8am - 11am
The Company
A construction Industry client based in Clifton Moor York are looking for someone with excellent communication skills both face to face and over the phone to join their small Trade Counter team.
Safety boots, other relevant clothing will be provided.
The Role
You will be the first point of contact for customers coming into the office or calling in on the telephone enquiring about prices and ordering products within the construction, building trade.
This will involve inputting orders onto a computer database, and dealing with the warehouse regarding delivery schedules and stock availability.
The Person
·Have some experience of working within building, construction, roofing or trade counter
·Be able to communicate well with builders, roofers, and drivers
·Keen to learn and have ability to absorb information
·Happy working in a small team of 4
·Good computer skills
·Have a driving license
·Good attention to detail
Duties
·Processing customer orders in a timely, accurate and professional manner.
·Liaising with relevant departments to ensure a speedy delivery.
·Checking project margins.
·Issuing quotations.
·Checking specification against customer requirements.
·Arranging transport and dealing with Haulier / Site delivery issues.
·Dealing with day to day customer service calls and requirements.
·Responding to verbal pricing requests and product information.
·Dealing with incoming calls.
·Problem Solving.
·Logging and resolving customer Invoice queries relating to the sales ordering process and product quality.
·Occasionally visiting customers at their own premises or at site, to build relationships and carry out Customer Service tasks.
·Handling/Dealing with customer complaints and passing them on to a manager if required.
