I am currently representing a client who is the world leader in aircraft interiors whose strength has always been through the high quality of the people they employ throughout the organisation who share the same enthusiasm and drive to take our business forward.

My client is currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer (Tool Room) to join their team based at their Composites site based in Clevedon, Somerset.

Duties for the Manufacturing Engineer (Tool Room) Position include:

-Manufacture of development and production standard tooling,
-Machine and manufacture new tools on CNC, Lathe or Milling machines as appropriate,
-Co-ordination with the ME Analyst function to ensure that the appropriate level of project performance benchmarks (e.g. cost, quality, time) are identified and understood by all relevant departments and that an appropriate methodology is adopted to enable tracking of the established benchmark performance data throughout the project lifecycle,
-Co-ordination with the Design Engineering function to understand the design parameters, features and constraints associated to a specific concept / development product, and in so doing, facilitate the development of an appropriate manufacturing methodology,
-Co-ordination with the Design Engineering function to assist with the identification and implementation of improvements required to established product designs,
-Co-ordination with the Planning function to ensure tooling is identified on planning sheets and PRT call up,
-Design of development and production standard tooling,
-Overhaul and maintenance of production standard tooling,
-Design and completion of product related repair schemes,
-Manufacture of small batch proof of concept / development parts including R&D for New Product Introduction (NPI),
-Ensure tooling registers are maintained with modification and up issue record amended,

Essential experience required for the Manufacturing Engineer (Tool Room) will include:

-CNC and conventional Milling experience
-Ability to read engineering drawings, set CNC and conventional Milling machines and lathes and use appropriate measuring equipment
-Computer Literate

Desirable Experience:
-Composite Materials experience
-Experience with the Aerospace Industry
-Ability to work using Metric and Imperial

Hours:
• Mon to Thurs 8am to 5pm (30 minute lunch break)
• Friday 8am to 1pm

Total 39 hours per week
