Payroll Executive

Full Time Permanent role - 37.5hrs per week

My client in York is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Payroll Executive to join our growing payroll team.

Candidates will ideally have prior experience of working within a payroll bureau, however we will consider candidates who don't have bureau experience, but have strong payroll skills and knowledge. The roles offer an ambitious individual the opportunity to build on their existing experience by managing a portfolio of clients and running weekly and monthly payroll.

Role and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for processing multiple payrolls and to manage their own workload. They will maintain the payroll system and records by capturing, calculating and inputting data. The candidate will have the understanding and ability to calculate all statutory payments including maternity and parental leave. In addition, the successful candidate will have a full understanding and the ability to calculate statutory and occupational sick pay. You will be responsible for pension and auto enrolment administration.

Person specification
The successful individual will have a minimum of 2 years experience within a payroll environment with a deep understanding of PAYE procedures. You will have excellent mathematical skills with an ability to calculate statutory payments. You will also display excellent knowledge and skills with payroll software, spreadsheets and journals. You will have a sound understanding of pensions and auto enrolment administration.
