Gap professional are operating as an employment agency on behalf of its client, who are looking for a Export Customer Service Administrator

Job Type: Permanent
Location: Exeter
Hours of work: Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm
Salary: £19,000

Summary:
Reporting to the Export Manager, this role will be working within the Export department and will be responsible for the administration of the Export documentation, retrieval of compliance documents, in line with company guidelines, legislation and standards. This role is within the Export Customer Service Department and will involve some customer service duties.
Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for producing and checking Export documentation in line with HMRC formalities
  • Responsible for checking Export documents against warehouse documents to ensure goods are packed and recorded accurately
  • Responsible for checking freight partners Export documentation such as Customs entries for all consignments
  • Responsible for gathering compliance data such as:
    • Invoices
    • Customs entries
    • Duty invoices
    • Certificate of shipments
    • CMR's
    • Ensuring we comply with HMRC rules
  • You will be communicating either by telephone or email with the freight agents
  • Receive telephone calls from our customers, ensuring all calls are dealt with promptly and in a friendly and professional manner
  • Input telephone or email orders onto the order input system, ensuring the customer details and orders are accurately entered and acknowledgements of orders are sent to customers



REQUIREMENTS:

  • This is role which requires the applicant to be flexible to move between administration and customer service duties
  • Due to the nature of the role we are looking for a highly motivated, organised individual with the ability to plan and prioritise a workload
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal coupled with a high degree of accuracy and numeracy
  • Knowledge of intermediate excel, internet and email systems
  • Ability to work in a calm, methodical way
  • Attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Working knowledge of shipping documentation and Incoterms would be advantageous
