Location: Torquay
Hours of work: Monday - Friday 39 hours (8.15hrs Mon to Thurs & 6hrs Fri)
Salary: £25-30K
Summary:
- To support the planning and scheduling of production to achieve on time delivery performance targets
Develop and maintain the production plan, ensuring resource is allocated effectively
To support the business by providing accurate reporting and quality analysis of delivery performance and manufacturing data
Support and facilitate continuous improvements by identifying areas of deficiency, recommending/implementing appropriate changes in training, working practices and processes for the department
THE ROLE:
- Develops, maintains and communicates the production plan to achieve and exceed on time delivery targets
Creates and maintains jobs in line with the ERP system processes to ensure accurate WIP valuations and capacity planning
Identifies any upcoming capacity issues and work closely with the relevant members of the team to offer solutions to these issues
Provides accurate lead time information and sales order commitment dates in line with order acknowledgement KPIs
Monitors, analyses and reports on manufacturing data sets - including inventory and schedule adherence
Delivers capacity plans in line with process, ensuring resource, training, materials and equipment plans are in place
Drives customer focus throughout the business, communicates customer requests and expedites works orders when required
Ensures all relevant planning MRP data is entered and maintained correctly on the system
Ensures the shipping plan is maintained, including sales order information prior to shipments
Maintains a safe working environment, performs all job duties in a safe manner whilst complying with all policies and procedures
Supports continuous improvements on the line, developing and building on existing processes to improve production flow, on time starts and inventory accuracy
Performs all job duties within ISO and AS standards, regulatory or statutory requirements
PERSON SPECIFICATION -
- Production planning and scheduling
- Advanced Excel knowledge
- FMEA and Root Cause analysis
- Relevant ERP knowledge
- WIP Track and associated software knowledge
- A level (or equivalent) in a mathematics or computer science based subjects desirable
- 3+ years' experience of production planning in a high pace technical manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated proficiency of ERP systems (Syspro, SAP, Sage, Oracle)
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office - particularly Excel
- Experience within SQL and knowledge of relationship databases desirable
- Reporting on varieties of data sets
