Our client based in the Midlands are have a fantastic opportunity for a Service Technician to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is within our client's filtration specialisms like Food and Beverage and the Automotive industry predominately based around the Midlands area (to also help cover the North West/South West regions). They are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is organised with excellent verbal and written communication skills, you will be provided with training and support for the role but it would advantageous if you have previous experience of working within a technical/mechanical hands on environment. The successful candidate will be joining a growing business and this role will support the sales team and contracts at various customer sites, primarily around the Midlands, but with ability to travel both North, East and South of this geographical area to the needs of their customers.

Pay & Hours of Work

  • £28k per annum
  • Monday - Sunday / 40 hours per week with some overtime available


  • You will have the ability to understand the meet the needs of our customers
  • Visit customer sites on a regular basis as scheduled
  • Manage projects and make recommendations
  • Provide onsite technical support services
  • Collect and analyse data
  • Be responsible for managing stock and logistics on site, including raising purchase requisition orders and stock control
  • Liaising with external and internal contacts
  • Production of documentation, including in-depth technical reports, following visits and as required by the customer and internally
  • Work closely with all members of the Filtration tea
  • Manage and carry out filter changes
  • Working with third party contractors to ensure procedures are followed
  • Control of Health, Safety & Environmental issues and documentation on site


  • A Craft Apprenticeship or Equivalent (ONC or City & Guilds in Mechanical/Fitting)
  • Computer literate with experience in all Microsoft office applications
  • Good reporting writing skills
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Be able to work on own initiative and adopt a practical approach
  • The ability to work under pressure
