Our client is an established company based in Newtown are looking to recruit a Systems Project Manager on a permanent basis. The candidate is responsible for the management of multiple projects to meet identified business needs. Utilising the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales and quality, the systems project manager will ensure successful delivery of project objectives, specific project areas covered include the company's e-Commerce website, other consumer websites, ancillary websites and consumer apps.

Pay and Hours of Work

  • £24,600k per annum dependant on experience
  • Monday-Friday / Office Hours


  • Defines documents and directs assigned I.T projects, actively participating in all phases of the project. Identifies, assesses and manages risks that threaten the success of the project
  • Estimates costs, timescales and resource requirements for the successful completion of each assigned project
  • Prepared and maintains project plans and tracks activities of assigned projects against the plan, providing regular and accurate reports to the I.T programme office, I.T managers, e-Commerce team and stakeholders as appropriate
  • Monitors costs, timescales and resources used, ensuring that deliverables are implemented with the agreed criteria
  • Manages change to the project, gaining agreement for revisions to the project from the Head of I.T
  • Manages stakeholder expectations
  • Monitors the progress of software development sprints using Jira, identifies and resolves causes of delays to development tasks, bugs and issues and schedules releases to test and production environment
  • Project manages the comprehensive testing of releases including preparation of test scripts, volume testing, producing and sharing results and creation of bug and issue tickets


  • Minimum of 5 years I.T experience
  • Familiar with project management principles, methods, techniques and tools for the effective management of projects from initiation through to implementation (e.g. PMP, PM-BOK)
  • Familiar with progress reporting methods and techniques for reporting progress and financial compliance against an agreed plan
  • Familiar with project management tools to assist in the project management process (e.g. MS Project)
  • Knowledge of project risk management (the identification, assessment and management od project risks, which could result in time or cost over-runs, or failure to deliver products which are fit for purpose)
  • Can analyse, diagnose, design, plan, execute and evaluate work to time, methods, procedures, tools, equipment and standards
  • Takes a structured and effective approach to own work and demonstrates leadership potential
  • Able to apply analytical thinking through the understanding of a problem or situation by breaking it down systematically into its component parts and identifying resolution options
  • Experience of working within an ITIL compliant environment
  • Knowledge of agile development
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle
